2+1+2 Program
How does it work?
The 2+1+2 Program is an intensive dual credit program in which students will earn both high school and college credit for taking college courses. For each college course that is successfully completed, students will earn one high school credit. The grade the student earns in the college course will go on the high school and college transcript. Students participate in the program during their junior and senior years of high school, during which they may earn 30 or more college credits.
Where does the program take place?
Students will take courses at the Central campus of Montgomery County Community College in Blue Bell, and will also take dual credit courses at Upper Moreland High School.
When do the classes run?
Upper Moreland will provide transportation for juniors to take a course at Montco from 9:05 AM - 10:00 AM on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Seniors have the option of taking three courses at Montco each semester. Transportation is provided for a 9:00 AM start time and a 10:45 AM return.
How much does it cost?
Dual Enrollment students are charged $223 for a 3 or 4 credit course. As opposed to $669 for a credit course for a matriculated college student. Click here for more information on costs.
Can I transfer my credits?
Montco has over 30 partnership agreements with other colleges and universities. To see if your Montco credits will transfer, check out pacollegetransfer.net or contact the colleges/universities of your choice to find out about transferring credits.
