Performing Groups

Performing groups are made up of different ensembles which best meet the individual skill level of each student. This arrangement affords the opportunity for students to “bridge” as skill levels develop. Students have the ability to move up to a more advanced level group once they demonstrate higher level techniques and musicianship.  Members of each performing group must continue to demonstrate proficient progress in order to maintain membership.  Students who experience difficulty meeting required performance standards will be able to move to a more appropriate leveled performing group.  “Bridge” dates throughout the school year will give the students the opportunity to “bridge” from group to group. Offering different leveled performing ensembles allows for more specialized musical instruction for young musicians. This enables students to learn and experience music at their most appropriate ability level.
