Director: Mr. Stahl 

The Concert Band is comprised of students who play woodwinds, brass and percussion instruments. Piano players play mallets in band. The Concert Band is an elective offering in the middle school curriculum. At the middle school we have a 6th grade concert band, 7th grade concert band and an 8th grade concert band. This is a class that meets strictly during the school day with performances taking place outside of the normal school day for the winter and spring band concerts. This is where the students develop the fundamentals and technique needed to play in the special ensembles such as Marching Band and Jazz Band.

The Wind Ensemble performs more concerts a year and allows the students to play more challenging material. The prerequisite for participation in the Wind Ensemble is an intermediate to advanced level of playing – participation in other ensembles such as the Marching Band and/or Jazz Band are not required, but are certainly encouraged.

7th & 8th Grade Band Dorney Park Trip:  

• Friday, May 17, 2024  (Band wears their "Dorney Park T-Shirt" that I provide)

Mandatory Concerts 2023-2024: 

• Winter Band Concert - Wed, December 13 @ 7:00 PM (students report at 6:30 PM)

• Spring Band Concert - Wed, May 1 @ 7:00 PM (students report at 6:30 PM)

Concert dress for both concerts:

• Black dress shirt or blouse

• Black dress pants

• Black shoes

• Boys wear a tie

• (Jazz Band members wear their Jazz Band uniform)
