If Upper Moreland Township School District calls for a Flexible Instructional school day, Upper Moreland High School will follow the procedures below which outline expectations for work and support from teachers and staff throughout the day:

• On the day a Flexible Instructional Day is called, it will be designated as a Purple or Gold Virtual Day. The first time will be Purple and 2nd time will be Gold. This will keep us on a Purple and Gold schedule for all regular school days.  Mr. Levinson or Dr. Djang will communicate the specific color day in the communication to staff and students;

• Attendance: All students will be required to complete a Google Form for attendance;

  • This Google Form will be sent out through email by 8:00 am;

  • All students are required to complete this form in order to get credit for attendance;

  • Families may also call the attendance line to indicate their attendance for school. 215-706-2386 or HSattendance@umtsd.org by 1pm.

    
    

• Each teacher/ class will post one Flexible Instructional Day Assignment that can be completed at home. If multiple Flexible Instructional Days are called, one assignment per day will be assigned; 

  • Lessons must include only practice of previously taught skills.

  • Assignments must include something that needs to be turned in.

  • Assignments must have extended due dates (1-2 weeks) in order to allow all students to complete the work despite extended power outages or difficulty accessing wifi.

    
    

• All assignments will be posted to Google Classroom and outlined on the daily Power Slide;

  • The powerslide will explain the following;

    • Learning Target;

    • Assignment to be completed;

      • Steps to complete/ submit that assignment;

        
        

• Each teacher will offer 1 hour of Office Hours between 8:30 and 2:30;

  • This is a time for students to check in and get clarification with any assigned work;

  • Students can receive any further support they are in need of;

  • Designated Office Hour and Google Meet code for each teacher will be posted on their respective power slide

Any staff or student that encounters technology issues/ connectivity should contact their teachers or an administrator for assistance.
