Primary School Flexible Instruction Day 

Instruction/Learning:

  • Homeroom teachers will create 5 days' worth of math and literacy FID lessons.

    • Lessons will be labeled as FID Math #1, FID Math #2, etc.

  • Specialists will prepare 1 FID lesson for each grade level and deliver lessons to the homeroom teacher.

  • Homeroom teachers will create FID packets for their students to be kept in their yellow folders.

  • Teachers will be available for office hours where they will be at their computers checking emails and/or meeting with students through Google Meet. 

  • These lessons should be a review of material already taught or grade-level material that can be accomplished independently.

     

Attendance:

  • Attendance will be taken the first-day students return to school after the FID. 

  • If students have completed the FID lessons, they will be counted as present for the FID. 

  • Homeroom teachers will turn in class lists marked with present (P) or absent (A) to the main office.

  • Attendance for all absent students will be entered into the eSchool system.

E-Communicator Message for Primary School Families:

To the families and students of the Upper Moreland Primary School Community:  

Today will be a flexible instructional day for the Upper Moreland Primary School.  In order for your child to be counted as present, please have your child complete the FID assignments for FID #____ as well as one assignment from one of their specialist teachers.  Additionally, homeroom teachers will be available through Google Meet during the hours of 9:00-11:00.  Please note that your child is not required to sign into a Google Meet to receive participation for the day.  All assignments must be turned in on the first day your child returns to school after the FID.
