Dr. Larry Cannon is the Assistant Superintendent of the Upper Moreland School District. In his most recent role, Dr. Cannon has been the Principal of the Upper Moreland Middle School since 2019. He was promoted to this position following four years of service at Upper Moreland High School, where he worked as an Assistant Principal for Curriculum and Instruction and Athletic Director. Before joining our District, Dr. Cannon was a Social Studies teacher and football coach at Wissahickon High School.
Dr. Cannon holds an undergraduate degree from Susquehanna University, where he majored in History with a concentration in secondary education. He went on to graduate from Wilkes University with a Master’s Degree in Instructional Methods and Practices and earned his Principal’s Certification through Cabrini College in 2014. Dr. Cannon completed his Doctoral Degree in K-12 Educational Leadership at Immaculata University.
Dr. Cannon is excited to continue working with the staff and students of Upper Moreland School District. He is dedicated to providing all students with the educational opportunities that allow them to achieve their fullest potential. Larry lives in Conshohocken, PA with his wife Erica and their three children.
