Dr. Susan Elliott is the Superintendent of the Upper Moreland School District. Prior to joining Upper Moreland, she served as an administrator and educational leader for twelve years. She worked as Acting Superintendent as well as Assistant Superintendent for the Council Rock School District and the Language Arts Supervisor for the West Chester Area School District. During the first eighteen years of her career, she enjoyed working as a reading specialist, elementary classroom teacher, and field hockey coach for the Eastern Lancaster County School District.

Dr. Elliott earned an undergraduate degree from Millersville University in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. She earned her Master’s Degree in Teaching and Curriculum from Penn State University and her Superintendent Letter of Eligibility from Edinboro University. Dr. Elliott earned her Doctoral Degree in Reading, Writing, and Literacy from the University of Pennsylvania.

In her free time, Dr. Elliott plays field hockey. She has represented the United States as a member of the U.S. Masters Women’s Field Hockey Team in both the indoor and outdoor Masters World Cup tournaments in the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Australia, and Hong Kong.

Dr. Elliott is excited to join the Upper Moreland Community to work with families, staff, students, and the larger community to support the success of all students.
