Optional Technology Insurance
To ensure that the district is able to repair damaged Chromebooks and provide loaners at all times for students experiencing problems, Upper Moreland School District provides optional technology insurance. In lieu of a mandatory Technology Fee, all students/families are offered optional insurance in the amount of $20 to be paid annually. Students who do not purchase the optional technology insurance will be responsible for the full cost of repair or replacement of the device in the event of immediate damages or loss.
New students who register with the District after February 1st are automatically enrolled in the insurance for the remainder of their first year.
Optional insurance signup is due by October 1, 2024.
NOTE: Battery failure deemed to be premature will be covered by the District.
