Dear Upper Moreland Community,
This morning the District was made aware of a controlled burn on the 2800 block of Terwood Road. The purpose of this controlled burn is for propane tank flaring to service the tanks. Community members in the area may see flames in the air or hear a loud noise. The flaring off will continue until 4:30 PM today.
We have consulted with the Upper Moreland Fire Department and have been assured that our staff and students are safe. There is no need to evacuate or take any hazmat precautions. School will operate as normal today.
