Message from the office of the Superintendent

Dear Upper Moreland Families,

At approximately 10:30 AM this morning, there was a recorded 4.8 magnitude earthquake centered near Tewksbury, New Jersey. The effects of the earthquake were felt in each of our district facilities as well as around our community.

Our administrators and facilities staff quickly assessed our buildings and determined that our buildings are safe. There was no need to evacuate the buildings. Instruction and school activities will continue as normal.

As always, we will continue to monitor the situation and prioritize student and staff safety. We will update you if we need to make any changes to our normal schedule or operations.

Regards,

Dr. Sue Elliott

Superintendent of Schools
